This picture shows two large triangles, each made up of a number of pieces, each a rearrangement of the other. But one has a square missing. How can this be?

This picture shows two large triangles, each made up of a number of pieces, each a rearrangement of the other. But one has a square missing. How can this be?
The red and Blue Triangle pieces have slightly different Angles to them, one is a 2 x 5 and the other is a 3 x 8. Depending on the configuration the lost Area is equal to one square.
