Is star cnc leaving the US market. They took 90 days to get toggles (chucking levers for old brownie guys) and 80 days to get a coolant pump. There parts people didn't think anything about saying we'd get the parts when we get them.

Star is very strong in the U.S and is definitely here to stay. On mid 90s SR 32 they do not stock some of the parts in the United States. The machine tool builders always struggle with how much inventory to stock in a given location. As an old Brownie guy would know B & S allowed people like Wendy Rogers of Amsco to build a substantial Brown & Sharpe repair part business with AN ARROGANT AND COMPLACENT ATTITUDE. GEORGE BERSACK AND THE REST OF THE STAR GUYS ARE TOO SMART FOR THAT BUT IF JAPAN CANNOT COME UP WITH PARTS IN A TIMELY FASHION they will hurt their reputation even if your expectation is excessive.
