I went to an estate sale the other day that consisted of a small garage full of mechanics/bodymen tools with a few machine tools thrown in. The auctioneer started outside and was selling a few small piles of scrap and some shelving, I meanwhile was standing in the shop doorway daydreaming when something in one of the piles of scrap caught my eye. Then I heard my favorite saying announced "ok...anything in these piles for $1." I ran the 50 feet in about two seconds, took a second look and bid. Sad part is some old guy saw the excitement on my face and bid me up to $7 before giving up.
So what did I find?
Hint: Its something for my lathe that few have and many want but cant justify.
I'll post pics of my treasure later when I get done cleaning it up. Anybody that has similar stories of treasure found cheap in a pile of junk please post as I love hearing these.
